On April 22-23, 2021, the 7th EAI International Conference on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems (INISCOM) has just been hosted by Le Quy Don Technical University in Hanoi, Vietnam.
INISCOM is an annual international conference sponsored by the European Innovation Association (EIA) and Springer. In this year, INISCOM was further co-organised by Duy Tan University and Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources as well as co-sponsored by the Global Challenges Research Fund managed by the Department of Economy (DfE) under the scheme DfE-GCRF.
INISCOM’21 provided a forum for scientists around the world to publish the latest research results and discuss the potential collaboration in the field of computing, telecommunications technologies, 5G technology, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and applications of Internet of things (IoT) to improve citizens’ lives. The conference has drawn significant attention from the authors, scientists, researchers, experts, entrepreneurs and graduate students, from leading universities in Vietnam and other countries, e.g., UK, France, Singapore, Turkey, Japan, etc.
Prof. Tran Xuan Nam, Vice President of Le Quy Don Technical University, said the workshop is a prestigious forum for advanced technologies in all areas of big data, 5G networks, IoT, AI and cybersecurity towards reducing risks and resistance to natural disasters, environment as well as extreme climate change around world.
This year, we received 80 submissions from about 127 authors and co-authors from more than 10 countries. Each paper received at least 3 peer technical reviews from more than 30 TPC members from academia, government laboratories, and industry. After carefully examining all the received review reports, the INISCOM 2021 TPC finally selected only very high quality papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the EAI INISCOM 2021 proceedings.
This year, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the conference will be held in a hybrid setting to accommodate the current restrictions. The conference will feature one keynote speech from a renowned world-class leader in the area. Dr. Harish Viswanathan from Nokia Bell Labs and Prof. Trung Q. Duong from Queen’s University Belfast, UK will give a talk on “Ultra-reliable and Low latency Communications for Industry IoT: Opportunities and Challenges”.
The technical sessions of EAI INISCOM 2021 reflect the growing interest in Telecommunications Systems and Networks; Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems; Hardware, Software, and Application Designs; Information Processing and Data Analysis; and Security and Privacy. Outstanding papers will be selected and invited for Special Issues in well-known international journals, i.e., Springer’s Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET), EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems, and EAI Endorsed Transactions on Scalable Information Systems.
We hope you will enjoy the EAI INISCOM 2021 technical program and find this conference a productive opportunity to explore, exchange ideas, make new friends, and, most importantly, get motivated to return and contribute to future EAI INISCOM conferences, said Prof. Tran Xuan Nam in his closing remarks.
