Tiếng ViệtOn Dec. 2, 2019, Dr. Trung Q. Duong worked at Vietnam Disaster Management Authority (VDMA) during his short visit to Vietnam.
At VDMA, he gave a talk about “Applications of IoT, 5G Networks, Big Data, AI in Disaster Management, Healthcare, and Smart Cities” as well as introduced his completed and on-going projects related to natural disasters. They further discussed about the problems and solutions of applying 5G, IoT, Big Data and AI especially to disaster management in Vietnam.
After the talk, the general chair of VDMA, Dr. Tran Quang Hoai, accepted the invitation from Dr. Duong to attend the UK-Vietnam workshop on Veritcal IoT Solutions and in Disaster Management that was hosted by Queen’s University Belfast on Dec. 4, 2019. Emerged technologies and solutions have been discussed and proposed at the workshop for further collaboration.
